The Examination
Your Bone Mineral Density test will be quick, easy, non-invasive and painless. We promise. For spine and femur testing, the procedure will last less than twenty minutes.

The day of your appointment, prepare by wearing clothes that are comfortable, and avoid buckles and metal buttons. There are no special diets, so the examination will not interfere with your activities or social functions. But if you are pregnant, let your physician know before the exam.

Our staff will lead you gently through the procedure, and encourage you to ask questions. During the test itself, you'll just lie back and breathe normally. That's all.
